Harper Patricia Miller born
Harper Patricia Miller was born April 27, 2012 to Erin and Dominic Miller of Coarsegold at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Fresno.
Harper is the new granddaughter of Keith and Jan Miller of Fresno, and Dennis and Diana Hannaford of Coarsegold. Her great-grandmother is Rose "gran" Wiseman of England.
Todd graduates with Master's degree
Matthew Todd of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of North Fork, is graduating in June with a Master of Science degree in management information systems, Summa Cum Laude -- an honor given to students that hold the highest scores in school with a GPA of over 4.0 -- from Bellevue University in Lincoln, Neb.
Mr. Todd is the son of Elva M. Todd and the late Wayne L. Todd of Bass Lake, formerly of North Fork.
Mr. Todd graduated from Sierra High School and is married to Cathy Auld, formerly of Ahwahnee.
He served six years in the U.S. Navy and then graduated from California State University, Fresno, Summa Cum Laude.
He has worked for National Rural Electric Company in Lincoln, Neb. while studying for his Master's degree.
Miller: basic training graduate
Air Force Airman 1st Class Steven P. Miller graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Miller is the son of David Miller of Ahwahnee.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Ray completes Naval nuclear power training
Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Korey K. Ray, son of Dianne Conway of North Fork and Kenneth Ray of Madera, recently completed Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline.
During the course with Nuclear Power Training Unit, Ballston Spa, N.Y., Ray received instruction about nuclear theory, chemistry, physics, reactor operations, safety and security. Upon completion of the course, Ray qualified as a Naval nuclear operator.
Ray is a 2007 graduate of Yosemite High School and joined the Navy in March 2010.
