Mountain couple falls victim to house sitter

McKelvey sought in connection with Oakhurst heist

Sheriff John Anderson is asking the public for help in locating a house sitter connected to a heist in Oakhurst.

A couple, who entrusted Bradford McKelvey, 33, of Oakhurst, to care for their home while out of town, discovered property missing from their home, including two vehicles parked outside the house.

One of the vehicles has been recovered, but a white colored 2010 4-door Dodge Avenger, with tinted windows is still outstanding.

In addition to the vehicle theft, the couple is also missing blank checks, credit cards, and two guns.

Also missing is Bradford McKelvey. McKelvey is described as standing 5'7" weighing about 170 pounds. He sports numerous tattoos, including "The empire strikes back bitch" just below his collarbone; "No Remorse" on the back of his skull; "Blaze" on the back of his neck; and a Nazi swastika tattooed between the words "SO" and "Cal" located on the base of his back.

Anyone who may have information about his whereabouts is urged to call the Madera County Sheriff's Office at (559) 675-7770 or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP. An anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers that leads to his apprehension could be worth up to $1,000.
