Melanie Mele earns Navy honors

Seaman Melanie Mele earned distinction as an honor graduate upon completion of Electronics Technician "A" School at Center for Surface Combat Systems Unit in Great Lakes, Ill.

Only top performers in the training courses Center for Surface Combat Systems Unit are designated Honor Graduates.

Mele graduated from Yosemite High School in 2010 and joined the U.S. Navy Feb. 28, 2011.

Crotti and Malcolm married Jan. 7

Jonathon Murphy Malcolm and Melissa Ann Crotti were married Jan. 7, 2012 at Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp.

The couple were married by Pastor Bruce Newton.

The matron of honor was Heather Davis, the bride's sister. The best man was Jayden Malcolm, the groom's son. Ring bearer was Gunnar Davis, the bride's nephew.

The couple will be honeymooning this summer.
