Leota Margaret Shawver died May 21, 2010 at the age of 93.
She was born Nov. 14, 1916 in Springfield, Mo.
Mrs. Shawver was a resident of Coarsegold from 1976 to 2001 when she moved to Vacaville.
She enjoyed painting, reading and volunteering.
Mrs. Shawver was involved in the Quilter's Guild, Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church and Manna House.
She was a past member of the League of Women Voters and the United Nations Model on Human Rights.
In 2004 she was Senior Volunteer of the Year in Vacaville.
Mrs. Shawver is survived by her daughter Patrice Frary of Sebastopol; son Donald Shawver of Sacramento; sisters Rita McAbee of Reston, La. and Jackie Acree of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother Richard Durham of Salinas, Okla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at Covenant Community Church in Vacaville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church Deacon's Fund, 39696 Hwy. 41 or Manna House, 50407 Hangtree Lane in Oakhurst.
