Letter to the Editor for September 2, 2010 edition

Dear Editor,

Have you seen a bigger mess than the fenced-in area in the middle of town across from the cemetery?

What happened to our dear Chamber of Commerce who were going to keep this area weed-free this summer?

They did a good job with the southeast corner of Highways 41 and 49.

Yes, the property across from the cemetery is privately owned but according to the article in the Sierra Star earlier in the year, the property owner agreed that someone could enter the property and keep the weeds under control.

Thank God we got rid of the homeless campsite that occupied the town earlier.

When help is needed to clean this mess, let's all get in there and beautify our little town.
