Donna Marie Downing died Aug. 18, 2010, at the age of 85.

She was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Waterloo, Iowa.

Mrs. Downing lived in the Mountain Area for many years.

She was a waitress and bartender.

Mrs. Downing is survived by her husband William Downing of Coarsegold; son Rickie Luc of West End, N.C.; grandchildren John Luc, Randy Delbert Brewer Jr., Elycia Brewer Hoops, Carrie LeeAnn and Kelly Brewer; and five great-grandchildren Rae, Chance and Lily Luc, Alexis and Brandon Hoops.
