A headline in last week's Sierra Star was in error.

The story was about a Madera County Grand Jury report pointing to inadequacies in the Madera County Animal Shelter in Madera. The story was not about the Eastern Madera County SPCA, and the SPCA was not mentioned in the story.

The Sierra Star regrets the error and any misunderstanding or confusion it may have caused.
