Peggy VanAman has been a vital part of keeping Oakhurst’s history alive since she moved to the area and friends got her involved in becoming a member of with Fresno Flats. She has been director of the historical board and has organized Heritage Days for 10 years.

‘It’s a great group of people working at the historical sites — some are there on a daily basis — keeping history alive in Oakhurst,’ VanAman said. ‘It’s a great place to spend time.
