Gary Shipp, a member of the Oakhurst community for 45 years, was airlifted to Fresno Community Hospital last Thursday after a 20-foot fall from a tree he was topping. He suffered broken vertebrae in his neck and lower back. Doctors predict only a five percent chance that Shipp will walk again.
Due to overwhelming medical costs and a loss of income to the family, a bank account has been established to receive gifts for Shipp's medical and rehabilitation expenses.
Donations can be made to the Gary Shipp account at Yosemite Bank/Premier Valley Bank in Oakhurst.
His wife Christie and children, Josh, Jeremy, Joel, Jared, Carissa and Chandra and his parents Gerry and Virgil Shipp are thankful for everyone's support and encouragement during their difficult time.
