Cathy Elizabeth Kern died on July 6 at the age of 61.
She lived in the Oakhurst area for 35 years.
Her first love was Search and Rescue and she had dedicated her life to is since 1982.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Kern; sons Michael Shelton of Coarsegold and Robbie Guzzo of Oceanside; mother Rosalie Rogers of Bakersfield; sisters Carleen Radanovich & Debbie Gonzales of Bakersfield; grandchildren Courtney Duke, Breeze Leal and Chloe Guzzo; nieces Anne Marie Braun, Monica Gentry and Christina Sikola; and nephew Randy Radanovich.
Services will be held July 11 at 9 a.m. at the Oakhill Cemetery in Oakhurst.
