Catherine Burtle died on June 17, 2009, at the age of 84.

She moved to Oakhurst in 1976 with her husband and children. She was active in the community and the Sierra Pines Church where she was a Prayer Chain Commander for 14 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard D. Burtle, Sr.

She is survived by her children, Richard and Cathy Burtle, Jr., Bonny and Bob Gibson and Steve Burtle; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. June 26 at Sierra Pines Church.
