A tall plume of black smoke met drivers coming into the Mountain Area Tuesday morning.
According to Karen Guillemin, Fire Prevention Spcialist for Cal Fire, emergency calls began coming in at 7:09 a.m. to report a residential fire on Road 620 in Ahwahnee with Cal Fire and the Madera County Fire Department responding.
The fire engulfed a house and two motorhomes, with all three deemed a total loss by the time the fire was controlled at 12:20 p.m.
The cost of the fire could not be estimated at the time of publication. No one was injured in the fire. The cause had not yet been determined at the time of publication.
