I've just had the privilege of spending what, to me, has been a perfect week. Time is a gift and I was able to use that gift in all the ways that I enjoy.
There was time to visit with family and friends.
There was time to cook some special meals we enjoy, and to accomplish some projects inside the house and in the yard.
There was time to do some important paperwork, and to read some books for pleasure.
Some of the time was spent on the job, and that was time very well spent too.
There was time to sleep late and to rest during the day. There was time to do some hard physical exercise and to just sit and talk to my husband.
There was time to shop and to browse in stores. There was time to go through books and clothes and take them to a charity drop-off.
It was nice to have a week without a lot of rushing about. It was nice to relax, do some things that need to be done at home and to be able to return to work refreshed and glad to be back.
I reflected during this week how special the time we are given really is and how important it is to use it in a way that is productive and enjoyable. When we are able to do that, we are fortunate, indeed.
