The 14th annual Sierra Sunrise Rotary Cajun Creole Festival, sponsored by Sierra Tel and Oakhurst Physical Therapy, will delight appetites Saturday at the Oakhurst Community Center. Bar opens at 6 p.m., dinner at 7, auction and raffle at 8. A $35 ticket (available at 559 683-4130) buys all-you-can-eat shrimp, ribs, dirty rice, maquecho and bread pudding. The money earned goes for such local projects as scholarships, school support, Meals on Wheels, Manna House and Ahwahnee Hills Regional Park in addition to other events, groups and projects backed by the Rotary.
