The Yosemite High School girls golf team finished the season off by finishing third at the CIF Championships.
"I was hoping for a back-to-back season with both the boys in the spring and girls in the fall," said Yosemite golf coach Rusty Oetinger. "But it didn't quite work out. We got very close though."
Frontier, a school with a population of 2,200 students finished in first place defeating Kingsburg.
"We won the North Sequoia League title and the North Area titles with ease, but ran-up against our old nemesis Kingsburg at the Valley Championships.
The Lady Badgers Kirsten Keyser finished second, shooting a one under 71 at area to qualify for the Valley Individual Championship.
"Her score put her second overall of the 45 girls field for the individual title which will be played on Monday, Nov. 10.
In the Clubhouse
Keyser was the ESPN 1430 Radio Athlete of the Week, the week ending the Friday Oct. 24.
Wednesday the radio station presented Keyser with the award at Yosemite High School.
