Roughly 14,400 Pacific Gas & Electric customers lost power in the Oakhurst and Coarsegold areas early Wednesday morning. Nicole Tam, spokesperson for PG&E, said the outage was caused when a local support wire snapped and wrapped around a transmission line at about 12:30 a.m. Crews responded to the scene, and power was restored just after 4 a.m. Tam said the incident is being investigated.
