James C. Silvers

James C. Silvers, 65, died May 21, 2008. He was born Jan. 26, 1943 in Worland, Wyo. He retired from the United States Air Force and moved to Oakhurst in 1990. He worked at Sierra Funeral Chapel.

He was a member of the New Community Methodist Church and the American Legion.

He was a NASCAR enthusiast and a University of California Fresno Bulldogs supporter.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lucky; daughter and son-in-law Kim and Doug Callihan of Highland; daughter Susan Silvers of Oakhurst; grandsons Jared and Aaron Callihan and his brother, Greg Silvers of Sheridan, Wyo.

There will be a celebration of his life Sunday, May 25 at 2 p.m. at New Community Methodist Church in Oakhurst.
