Ahwahnee

A deputy responded to an Ahwahnee-area residence for an assault report.

A deputy responded to an Ahwahnee-area residence for a report of vandalism. A criminal case file was taken for the incident.


Bass Lake

Deputies responded to a Bass Lake-area residence for a report of family disturbance. One subject was found to be drunk in public and was taken into custody. The subject also had an outstanding warrant from San Bernardino County.

Theft of items from an unlocked car in the Bass Lake area was reported. Approximately an hour later, a vehicle was stopped and the stolen items recovered. Two adult males were taken into custody for on suspicion of possession of stolen property. CHP also responded and the adult driver was arrested on DUI charges.


Coarsegold

Deputies contacted an adult male at a Coarsegold residence while attempting to serve an unrelated arrest warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Madera Department of Corrections, where he was booked. The arrest clears the case.

Deputy dispatched to Mattie Fhy Court in response to a complaint that someone had altered the phone lines at the junction box. It was determined that there was no tampering, but it was annoying phone calls. A trap was placed on the phone.

A report of shots fired resulted in the recovery of a rifle that had been reported stolen to the Clovis Police Department. A Coarsegold resident was arrested and booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a controlled substance and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.

Deputies responded to a Coarsegold-area business for a report of an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance. One subject was taken into custody on public intoxication charges. The subject was taken two the Madera County Department of Corrections.

A report of a residential burglary was taken.


Mountain Area

The passing of a fake $20 bill was reported.

Theft of items from thrift shop was reported.

Mail from the area of Road 211 and Road 210 was found at the side of Road 200. The items were booked into the Oakhurst substation.

A bicyclist stopped for no lights was allegedly found with 21 grams of marijuana.


Oakhurst

A deputy was dispatched on a report of theft of copper wire from a storage yard.

A report and photographs were taken.

A counterfeit bill was seized by a clerk at a gas station in Oakhurst.

Contact with a subject in the Oakhurst park resulted in an arrest for a local bench warrant.

A vehicle stop for a broken headlight resulted in the driver being cited for possession of marijuana.


Yosemite Lakes Park

A deputy initiated a vehicle stop that resulted in a complaint requested on the driver of the vehicle for having altered registration plates, driving on a suspended licenses and unregistered vehicle.
