Nearly 150 people attended the Oakhurst Elks Lodge annual Veterans Spaghetti Feed Sunday night. Event chairman and Marine veteran Emil Paul is shown at left during the flag ceremony presented by the Oakhurst Knights of Columbus Color Guard, Richard Lamontagne, Bill Harvey, Jerry Allen and Dr. Ed Santoro. The Sounds of Freedom, a 25-piece band made up primarily of veterans, delighted the audience with their patriotic songs. During the evening, four veteran recepiants of the Purple Heart from Fresno, Eli Munoz, Tony Phcheco, Richard Ray and Hollon Kinney, 91, were honored. The Elks Lodge has held this dinner to honor veterans for more than 20 years.
