Squirrel Cage Theatre Company will bring music, family fun and food to the Mountain Area with its annual "Fall Follies" dinner show Friday and Saturday at North Fork Town Hall.
"It's in the vaudeville tradition," said Chuck Thrapp, president of the 35-year-old performing arts group.
He said the variety show will include another popular "liar" skit by Frank Carpenter of North Fork, a trombone performance by Dan Rosenberg, the return of the beloved "Old Farts," routine, lots of music from Sugar Pine musical group and "a dynamite closing."
Master of ceremonies for the evening is guitarist-teacher John Kilburn of North Fork.
The "Fall Follies" dinner show will begin at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Friday's dinner menu will include homemade chili, and Saturday's will feature stew. Vegetarian selections also will be available.
Tickets cost $10 per person or $25 for families with small children.
"It's all about supporting the community and spending an evening with your family," Thrapp said.
A drawing for a $50 lei and a silent auction will be held both evenings.
Squirrel Cage Theatre membership is available to anyone wanting to help support the performing arts. Annual membership costs $10 for an individual and $25 for a family.
The performing group also will present a holiday show, "Songs of the Season," Dec. 5 at North Fork School.
The show traditionally features singing groups from Sierra and Yosemite High schools and a performance by the North Fork Community Choir.
Reservations can be made only for groups of 10 or 12.
