The Yosemite High School girls softball team came up dry on Senior Day Friday at Yosemite's softball field, losing 5-0 to the Chowchilla Redskins.
The Lady Badgers could not figure out Redskins pitcher Stephany Pierini, with only senior Lauren Rolff's first-inning single to show for their efforts.
Yosemite pitcher Bailey Skeahan worked out of a bases-loaded first inning and then allowed only one run with the bases full in the second.
But the wheels came off the cart in the fourth inning after the Redskins collected seven consecutive hits to put four runs on the scoreboard.
Lady Badgers' pitcher Arriel Smith was in the pitcher's circle to start the fifth inning and held Chowchilla scoreless for the remainder of the game.
But the Yosemite bats were silenced for the day.
Chowchilla shortstop Hannah Moss was 4-for-4 with two RBIs.
