The Sierra Meadows Country Club is hosting the inaugural Dr. Gary Pence Invitational Drive to Fight ALS Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 24.
The event, which is open to the public, is a four-player scramble, with prizes for first through third place. The $100 player entry fee covers greens fees, a gift bag, lunch and dinner.
Included in the day's festivities will be a hole-in-one car giveaway, a Las Vegas hole and longest drive and closest to the pin prizes.
The tournament is meant to help raise awareness of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and raise money for life-enabling medical equipment as well as to enhance the quality of life of those who live with the disease.
For those who do not golf but would like to make a difference, they can join the Birdie Club for $250 and sponsor a tee, banner recognition and an entry fee for a player. Or they can sponsor a tee for $100 and sign will be placed in the tee box.
Those wishing to attend the dinner only can do so for $12.
For questions regarding the tournament or donations, contact Mary Pence at (559) 683-4090.
