The Yosemite High School baseball team defeated Madera South 9-0 at the Yosemite Baseball Complex on Tuesday behind the pitching of junior Justin Lovett.
The left-hander held the Stallions scoreless for six innings before giving way to Michael Thompson, who pitched to four batters in the top of the seventh inning.
Lovett (2-3) allowed four hits, while striking out seven and walking none.
The scoring momentum for the Badgers was provided by an 11-hit attack led by Jesse Lownsbury (.396, 19 RBI) who drove in three runs in the second inning on a triple to the 385 foot sign in centerfield.
The Stallions (7-14, 3-9 NSL), never posed a threat to the Badgers (9-16, 7-5 NSL), who have now collected at least 10 hits in each of the last four games.
The game also marked the end of a hitting slump for senior Brad Stolp, who legged-out a pair of singles, while scoring a run and driving in another.
Yosemite travels to Chowchilla this afternoon in NSL action.
