Yosemite High School FFA holds its annual donkey basketball game for 2008 tomorrow in the cafeteria. It's the kids in the blue jackets vs. the men in blue -- at least figuratively. The FFA team will compete against the winner of the CalFire vs. Madera County Sheriff's Department match.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first game is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, at $5, are available at the door. The Madera County Sheriff's Department will have a few old hands and a handful of greenhorns participating in this year's game. The roster includes: Undersheriff Frank Benard, veteran; Detective Zack Zamudio, veteran; Detective Larry Rich, veteran; Lt. Darin McMechan, greenhorn; Detective Jason Clark, greenhorn; Bass Lake Boat Patrol Deputy Ray Souders, greenhorn and Emergency Service Coordinator Janet Stanovich, greenhorn.
