Sierra Star honored

The Sierra Star was the recipient of a 2007-2008 Golden Apple Award May 12, presented by the Yosemite Unified School District and the Mariposa/Madera County Association of California School Administrators. Each year, school districts in Mariposa and Madera counties recognize individuals or businesses with a Golden Apple award to recognize them for their community-wide support for that school district. The awards dinner was held at the Madera Municipal Golf Course.
